The ghost could have other motives though, that we have not yet seen which could cause Hamlet to get in to trouble later on in the play. On the other hand, it is also trying to make Hamlet commit a crime by killing his uncle which could possibly put Hamlet into an unwanted situation. The ghost does give Hamlet the advice of not letting him loose his head, but Hamlet seemed to have left this warning behind.
