Most admirable to least in this order: Desdemona, Emilia, Cassio, Roderigo, Othello, and Iago. This order goes from most innocent, to those corrupted by Iago's scheming.

Desdemona - she is innocent the entire play

Emilia - she is mostly innocent the entire play

Cassio - the only wrongs he makes are because of others

Othello - while many of his wrongs are due to tricks, he is the one that ultimately decides to murder Desdemona

Roderigo - he just wants revenge

Iago - he is the evil mastermind behind the entire plan

1. Cassio - he had literally done no wrong to anybody

2. Desdemona - she till continued to love and respect Othello, through his craziness. Though she did nothing to stop it, or find out exactly what the problem was, she was happy with the fact of him being upset due to matters of the state

3. Emilia - She stole the handkerchief she knew meant so much to Desdemona

4. Othello - he instantly believed that Desdemona was having an affair, and did no other research other than the word of Iago. Not even asking the accused

5. Iago - He started it all, and even after he got what he wanted, he kept going.

The most to least admirable, in my eyes, was Iago, Desdemona, Emilia, Cassio, Othello, and Roderigo. I based this off of the fact that Iago creates this large scheme to get revenge on Othello. After Iago it goes from the least influenced to most influenced.

I believe the most admirable character in this play is Desdemona, followed by Emilia, Cassio, Roderigo, Othello, and finally Iago. This list is in order from the most innocent and uncorrupted character (Desdemona) to the most corrupt, evil character(Iago).

I think the order goes
Desdemona
Emilia
Cassio
Roderigo
Othello
Iago
This list goes from the top as being the most innocent, to the bottom which is the people that are being corrupted. Desdemona and Emilia are innocent throughout the entire play. Cassio is also pretty innocent and doesnt really hurt anyone. Roderigo is next and he just wants revenge for not having desdemona. Othello is being corrupted by iago and doing basically everything he says. And iago is the mastermind behind it all, wanted revenge on everyone and putting things into people's heads.

Desdemona: because she is the perfect example for the light imagery in the play. She is so innocent she can't even say the word "whore", she would never cheat on Othello, and she can't wrap her head around other women cheating on their husbands.

Emilia: She is a victim in the play, but it makes her wiser and she gives characters advice throughout, and at the end she defends Desdemona and tells Othello that she would never cheat on him, and that she stayed faithful

Cassio: He's an overall good sound character that was led in the wrong direction by Iago, but I think overall he is a good person and isn't as corrupt as the others.

Roderigo: I put him third to last because he is swayed way too much by Iago, so much that he would kill for him just so Desdemona would love him.

Othello: In the beginning he was the best character and he was a good husband, but he let his jealousy over nothing get in the way of all of his good qualities. He relies too much on the wrong people and doesn't trust the right ones.

Iago: I put him last because he is the definition of evil, and he is behind all the bad occurrences that happened throughout the course of the play.

1. Desdemona: Desdemona does not do anyting wrong throughout the play, she is innocent and being set up by Iago for no reason.
2. Emilia: I think Emilia is innocent for most of the play, but she does steel Desdemona's Handkerchief that was given to her by Othello.
3. Cassio: He does not do anything, most of the stuff he does is not his fault.
4. Othello: Many of the bad things he has done are because of the lies Iago has told him, but he still becomes evil and kills Desdemona.
5. Iago: He is setting everyone up to become evil. His master plan ruins everyones relationships

Desdemona - she is completely innocent during the entire play and does not realize she has "done" something wrong; eventually accepts her unfair fate

Cassio- his wrongs are made because of others manipulation

Emilia - she is mostly innocent but then since she is associated with Iago I believe she is a little more wicked then we would like to think she is

Othello- he was at firs innocent and then easily manipulated which resulted in his wrong actions. Eventually then this rage and intent to murder Desdemona put him this low on the list.

Roderigo- he just wants revenge against Othello partially causing the manipulation.

Iago- he is the whole mastermind and major antagonist in the play.

Desdemona- desdemona is the most admirable because she is the purest. She is an image of innocence and purity throughout the play

Emilia- Emilia is admirable because she is a very wise character always giving Desdemona advice and showing her worldliness. She also tries to give Othello advice

Cassio- Cassio is honorable because he is only trying to fix his wrongs and is falsely accused. He is innocent in the way that he thinks Iago is his friend and trusts him

Roderigo- Roderigo is blinded by his deep love for desdemona and Iago preys upon his weakness by manipulating him. He is a weak character but his great love is admirable

Iago- Iago isn't admirable at all.His one trait that he has is how smart he is. Overall he is diabolical and cruel

Desdemona,Emilia, Cassio, Roderigo, Othello, Iago.
This order goes from the most innocent who haven't done anything to the people who are being effected by Iago. Iago is at the bottom because, he is the driver of the play and without him there would be no story.

Desdemona – she is truly innocent, no evil thoughts come across her mind the entire play. She also believes in the goodness of the world, surmising that no woman could ever cheat on her husband.

Cassio – he is extremely noble, even knowing that when he drinks he gets out of control. He does however fall into Iago’s plan causing a few minutes of disruption, but other than that he repents for his sins and remains a trustworthy character

Emilia – she is mostly innocent, she does steal Desdemona’s handkerchief, which causes many problems later in the play, and she also admits that if the opportunity presented itself she would do some immoral things.

Othello – he is an extremely noble man, but he surmises that Iago is correct without checking any facts. He also gets so upset that he is ready to kill Desdemona. His passion gets in the way of his respectability

Roderigo – he is very gullible, he constantly believes that Iago is doing this to help him instead of Iago doing it to help himself

Iago – he is the constructor of revenge in the play and everything happens at his hands

Desdemona- Most admirable, she is a very innocent respectful person throughout the entire play

Cassio- He is unaware of what is being done to him, and Iago's plot against him. His wrongs are caused by Iago.

Emilia- She obeys Iago but is unaware of Iago's plot, making her innocent because she is unaware

Roderigo- He simply wants revenge but is not as cold at heart as the others

Othello- He has major insecurities because he is an outsider and is easily swayed by Iago. He commits major wrongs against Desdemona making him less desirable

Iago- He causes every problem in the play because he is heartless and ultimately has no motive but continues to be heartless even after he got his lieutenancy. He lives to ruin Othello's life.
