Regarding loyalty and friendship, there is not much shown in Othello. The only two people who remain loyal are Cassio, who remains loyal to Othello and doesn't cheat on Desdemona, as well as in the end, Emilia remains loyal to her friend Desdemona, by explaining everything that happened and dying by her side. Through most of the play, friendships are false and are built off of deception and betrayal.

there is very little loyalty in othello. Cassio remains remains loyal to othello even after all that has happened. and even though Iago is trying to hurt him othello remains loyal to Iago.

There is a lot of false friendship and loyalty in the story of Othello. Iago pretends to be Othello's friend but is really plotting against him, while othello still thinks he is loyal to him. Emila stays loyal to Iago through most of the play until the end, when she figures out what Iago does and then she goes to Desdemona. Friendship and loyalty is all around.

The play Othello shows that there are false friends as well as true friends. False friends act like they care when they are with you but go behind your back. True friends stand by you no matter what. Desdemona remains loyal to Othello the entire time, she is the most loyal. Michael Rothermel

Othello shows the fragility of loyalty and friendship. It shows the negative way friends who should be looking out for your best interests deceive you, and are not loyal. The most obvious example is Iago, who uses his status as Othello's friend and the trust that he has to deceive him. Desdemona is one character who remains loyal by never betraying Othello and remaining loyal to him to the end. Emilia is another loyal character, she is loyal to Desdemona so that she will not be remembered as a cheater, but so that everyone knows the full story. She dies for this, showing her deep level of devotion. E Sweeney

Loyalty and friendship is not shown a lot through out the play. In the end, Desdemona does stay loyal to Othello. Also, Emilia stays loyal to Desdemona to the end, and turns against her husband.

Although loyalty and friendship is very important in Othello, there is not much of it shown in this tragedy. The only people who truly stay loyal to Othello are the two people who he thinks are the least, Desdemona and Cassio. Emilia is some what loyal to Desdemona, she stays stays loyal to her only at the end. Most of this book has betrayal over loyalty.

In Othello, friendship and loyalty go hand in hand. Emilia is loyal and a friend to Desdemona. Desdemona is loyal to her husband Othello. Roderigo is loyal to Iago because he believes Iago is a friend. Othello is not loyal to his wife but is instead loyal to Iago. He clearly does not have his priorities straight.

In the play Othello friendship and loyalty are shown in different ways through out the play. Iago plays with friendship and loyalty maliciously to try to gain power through out the play. Desdamona is completely loyal to Othello the entire time were Othello's loyalty switches from Desdamona to Iago. Friendship is show between Desdamona and Emilia when she finally tells everyone what she has realized has happened and dies. Friendship and loyalty play and important roles in the play Othello.

the play shows that you hould choose your friends wisely due to the fact that they could betray you. in a lifetime you will meet true friends and false friends. Desdemona stayed loyal to Othello but he trusted his good friend over the woman whom he loved.

Othello shows friendship and loyalty by depicting good friends and bad friends. Iago is an untrustworthy friend who is deceitful and shows a false loyalty to everyone in his surroundings. Desdemona remains loyal to Othello to her death, even though he pins her as a lying whore and murders her himself. The play shows a transition of loyalty and friendship, it shows that people can be false and deceitful, but people can also be true and loyal. It also shows that people can change where their loyalties lie.

What does the play Othello say about friendship and loyalty? Who remains loyal? How is friendship shown?

Othello shows friendship and loyalty very frivolously. Iago plays with all the members of the play using friendship and loyalty to get his way although he doesn't mean any of it. Othello stays loyal to Iago although he betrays Othello the whole time. Emilia and Desdemona show friendship and loyalty the entire time because of Emilia's lack of knowledge of her husband's actions but dies next to her, -Alyssa Dudley

I believe that the play shows that friendships change very easily and that they are not set in stone. Desdemona is one of the few characters who remain loyal throughout the play. She remains loyal to Othello. Iago and Emilia betray their friendship to Othello and Desdemona.

The play of Othello shows that friendship and loyalty can be faked and used to turn against that person. But there are points in the play where we see loyalty at the highest degree. We see Emelia being very loyal in the end to Desdemona, and we also see throughout the play that Desdemona is loyal to Othello. Even when Othello kills her she says that she has killed herself.

Friendship is shown outside of the body, but in the play hatred is inside the body. There are not as many loyal people, they act loyal on the outside but on the inside they are not loyal. I feel the only one who was loyal was Cassio and Desadomona, because they always told the truth. While the people who were not loyal were roderigo and Iago, because they wanted to seek revenge and evil. Pathik Patel

Not many of the characters are loyal in Othello, except for Desdemona. She is loyal to Othello throughout the entire play. Emilia is also loyal to Desdemona when she goes against her husband Iago and reveals his plan proving her friendship with Desdemona.

There are different examples of loyalty throughout the play but the one that triumphs in the end is the loyalty of Emilia to Desdemona. Because of her dedication to Desdemona, Emilia admitted that her husband, who she was seeking admiration from, was very guilty. Also, Desdemona was completely loyal to Othello despite his change in character throughout the play.

Moral of the play is that friendship can be good, but friendship can be blind.

Othello is loyal to Iago. Cassio and Roderigo are loyal to Iago. Emilia is loyal to Desdemona.

I think that this play shows that friendships and loyalty can come from the most unexpected places and the ones that you think are secure are not. All the loyalties that were supposed to be secure - Iago to Othello, Othello to Desdemona, Emilia to Iago, Iago to Roderigo, Iago to Cassio are ruined in the end. They are all destroyed. But the friendships that are made are ones that were not expected. For example Emilia seems to be more loyal to Iago but in the end defies Iago and instead tries to help Desdemona.

Throughout the play loyalty and friendship played key roles through some of the characters. Emilia remained loyal to Desdemona at the end of the play and turned away from her husband. Desdemona remained loyal to Othello, even to the end when he smothered her.

Desdemona remains loyal throughout whole play. She even defends Othello even after he kills her. Emilia is loyal to Desdemona by defending her honor and going against her husband to say the truth. Othello is loyal to Desdemona in the beginning but then becomes loyal to Iago.

Friendship and loyalty are basically walked all over in "Othello". There is so much betrayal and lying that any ties that one character has to another are broken by the end. The only true loyalty lied between Desdemona and Othello, because one truly never was unfaithful to the other.

Othello shows that friendship and loyalty have to be placed carefully. Iago, who throughout the entire play is referred to as trusted and loyal, actually turns out to the the one who hates everyone, while those who Othello sets out to kill are the ones who are truly loyal to him.

Although Othello invests a lot of trust in certain characters like Iago the story line of Othello is almost all about deception and how people do not remain loyal. One of the only people that do stay very loyal, Desdemona he does not believe and ends up killing her because he does not believe that she is being loyal.

I think honestly that Shakespeare is showing us not to trust people cause you don't know who they truly are and I really do think that in the end it shows us that some times those we are closed to are not loyal.

The play shows how friendships and loyalties easily shift and that sometimes they are misplaced. People should be careful with who they believe especially without proof. This blind loyalty led Desdemona to be killed by Othello at Iago's urging. Each element of the loyalty led to each of the characters' demises.

Othello shows that true friendship and loyalty are hard to find. Othello thought that Iago was his friend, but then becomes two faced spreads lies. True friends are Emilia and Desdemona. They are honest with each other, and truly care for one another.

In the end loyalty screws you. Dezzy is killed because she stays with Othello and does not let her love run away. Then there is the loyalty to Iago which was blind and led many astray. It was the characters interaction of loyalty that became the tragedy

The play doesn't portray friendship and loyalty in an honest light. Othello believes Iago is his friend, but Iago is the source of all the evil in the story. Most of the friendships that exist are false. Emilia's and Desdemona's is the only true friendship that exists in the play.

By the end of Bill Shakespeare's play, Othello, one would think the opposite of friendship and loyalty. We think and Othello thinks he is dear friends with Iago but in reality Iago is stabbing Oth in his back. The non loyalty of Emilia to Desdemona is evident at times considering she stole the handkerchief.

The play says a lot about friendship and loyalty. Othello is loyal to Iago and Roderigo is loyal to Iago. I don't think Emilia is truly loyal to Desdemona because she is the one that stole the handkercheif. Othello remains friends with Iago to the very end until he learns of the lies he has been spreading.

This play does not show much loyalty and friendship. Roderigo remains loyal to Iago . Desdemona remains loyal to othello by never cheating on him. She even remains loyal by not telling Emilia who killed her.

There are two cases of loyalty in Othello. The first is Desdemona staying loyal to Othello. Even though Othello turned dark and was going to kill Desdemona she continued to stay loyal and stay by his side. Also, Roderigo and Iago are an example of loyalty. Roderigo does whatever it is that Iago asks for no apparent reason. Othello shows that friendships are not always what they seem they are.

The play basically shows how only completely honest people can be trusted, and even then most people do not recognize or capitalize on it. This was shown with Othello and Desdemona's relationship.

It says that you should only stay loyal to your friends no matter how believable other sources may seem. In the play, the characters that truly remain loyal are Emilia, Desdemona, and Cassio. Friendship is shown by Emilia and Desdemona when Emilia refuses to obey Iago's demands when he asks her to leave instead of standing up for Othello and Desdemona during the struggle at the end of the play.
