An internal conflict Hamlet struggles with is his indecisiveness. He flops back and forth between ideas, and doesn't know what to do. This is definitely his downfall.
An external conflict Hamlet deals with is Claudius. he knows that this is who is responsible for his father's death, but because of the first conflict, doesn't know how to handle himself. For this, he wants to take revenge.
One internal conflict is dealing with the guilt of breaking Ophelia's heart and beating himself up for it. An external conflict would be his constant fight with his mother and the king and not agreeing with what they have done and how it is affecting him.
I think the one external conflict that Hamlet deals with is the death of his father. He has to figure out what he makes of it and how he is going to react towards it. The whole play surrounds his vengeance and reaction towards his father's death. One internal conflict is the fear of death. Hamlet is extremely afraid of what lies beyond life, and so he is hesitant to act on his plan of revenge. He struggles throughout the whole play whether or not to take his life, or risk his life with revenge. It is a drawn out process because of his fear.
External conflict is Hamlet seeing his mother with his dads uncle every day. Thinking about how his mother moved on so fast and she is just loving Claudius.
Internal conflict is the fear or not to fear death. He is afraid to die and what will happen after up until Act V scene 1.-----Shaun Robinson
One of Hamlets external conflicts would be his attitude with everyone around him, especially his mother. He is still upset and angry with her and does not seem like he will ever forgive her, but it is upsetting him and everyone can see it. An internal conflict is wanting revenge but not being able to make a decision, i feel like he is constantly fighting with himself and feeling guilty. Bre
An internal struggle that hamlet deals with throughout the play is his distrust of love. He no longer believes that love is real because of his mother's hasty second marriage. And he does not realize he loved Ophelia until she is dead, it is only then that he comes to realize that love can be real. And an external struggle that he deals with throughout the play is, his uncle being the new king of Denmark. He hates the fact that Claudius and his mom are married. And i think he is really mad about the fact that Claudius is king and how he came to be the king.
External - Hamlet has been fighting against multiple people that have been unwittingly deceived by his uncle, all of whom honestly seem to believe that they are the ones doing the right thing, and that Hamlet is the true insane and misguided one. Internal - Throughout the play, Hamlet has been battling indecision and procrastination in following through with the revenge for his father. He originally doubted the ghost's intentions, then didn't want to kill his uncle when he was praying. This overthinking of his decisions led him to creating multiple external conflicts, such as the murder of Polonius.
One internal conflict that Hamlet has to deal with is his indecisiveness. This has led him to over analyze everything he has ever planned to do. An external conflict would be his constant battle with Claudius. He always has to deal with the murder of his father and the fact that Claudius was the cause of it.
hamlets internal conflict is his over thinking of everything. he cant act without going through all of the situations and outcomes in his head which makes him miss his chance in some situations.
hamlets external conflict is him dealing with Ophelia and his love for her and trying to keep her safe and away to go through with his plan.
One external conflict that Hamlet faces throughout the play is Claudius and the steps that Claudius goes through to spy on, distract, and even kill Hamlet. One internal conflict of Hamlet's is how he will gain enough resolve to actually go through with the act of killing Claudius.
One external conflict that Hamlet is dealing with is the fact that he needs to kill his uncle. He needs to physically find the right moment to act, and carry out the act to the fullest of his capabilities. One internal conflict Hamlet faces is the inevitability of death. He goes from a near suicidal attitude, to being hesitant about taking his uncle's life, to killing Polonius out of hasty actions, to realizing that no matter what happens, death is a common denominator. Using this new found knowledge, he decides that if he is going to die eventually, why not do so while avenging his father. Now, not even death can stand in his way.
