I believe there are times when speaking up is the right thing to do. However, there are other situations that require that someone remains silent. I my opinion it just depends on the situation.
I agree that sometimes it's just better to be silent. Sometimes voicing your opinion will do more harm than good so you should just keep your opinion to yourself.
It depends on the situation. If it is none of your business then yes, keep you mouth shut. And if it is not worth starting a fight or argument the yes, silence is the answer. Is it is hurting you, then you have every right to speak up, if not, let it go.
I agree that sometimes it's better to be silent than say anything. In the case of opinion, I've always been told if you don't have anything nice to say than don't say anything at all. Bullying, for example, results from unnecessary commentary that leads to emotional distress upon the victim. Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut than to prevent causing more problems.
In certain situations, as long as nobody is being physically or mentally abused when they do not even understand why or do not desirve it. Also, depends who you are. Some people prefer to be the hero or obnoxious, or brave person to stand up to a monster of a certain scenario, while some prefer to just keep to themselves and lets the earth and all on it to run its course.

Yes staying silent is sometimes the answer because you can make more of an issue for yourself or someone else.

It's better to speck out but you also need to allow people to learn things on their own because when you tell them they want to prove you wrong.
